Selective recovery of high quality single polymer recyclates from challenging post-industrial and post-consumer multimaterial wastes has been successfully achieved. An industrial pilot scale demonstration plant combining a core selective solvent-based polymer recovery process with advanced AI-driven optical process monitoring and control systems has successfully provided thermoplastic recyclates which have been evaluated in a range of premium end use applications back in the Automotive and Packaging sectors from which they arose. ISWA collaborates on a number of EU funded projects, acting as a communication and dissemination partner in consortiums tackling varying issues in and around waste management. With these activities ISWA acts as knowledge multiplier, promoting sustainable waste management according to its mission.
