Webinar | Using EPA’s Solid Waste Management Toolkit to Address Plastic Waste in Your Community

Join EPA and ISWA for a webinar on an introduction to addressing plastic waste! The webinar will inform attendees on the broader aspects of plastic waste management using EPA’s new Solid Waste Management Toolkit (the Toolkit). The Toolkit serves as a free resource for decision-makers implementing solid waste management programs. Key features of the Toolkit include e-learning modules, communication materials, webinar materials, videos, as well as the Best Practices for Solid Waste Management: A Guide for Decision-Makers in Developing Countries and companion chapters. Throughout the webinar, we will be sharing content from the “Addressing Plastic Waste” companion chapter, including best practices and case studies. The webinar will culminate in a facilitated discussion that allows participants to exchange ideas and share information on plastic waste initiatives in their communities.

ISWA president Carlos RV Silva Filho will give a special opening speech about ISWA’s work and efforts for tackling plastic waste, such as ISWA’s engagement in International Negotiating Committee on Plastic Pollution (INC).
